Episode 420: Davy Crockett - Ultramarathon History

Most people are not aware of how ultramarathons progressed over the years, and how far back organized events existed. Even fewer know that Madison Square Garden use to get packed with spectators for 6-Day Events. These events were filled with all sorts of chaos from poisoning, to fist fights, gambling, and big pay days for the best in the sport. I had a lot of fun diving into all of this with Davy Crockett.

Davy Crockett is an ultramarathon runner, and hosts Ultrarunning History. His podcast and books dive deeper than any other ultramarathon history resource. Davy also is the director of the American Ultrarunning Hall of Fame.
