I had a chance to catch up with Ryan Dreyer, who had previously come on my podcast a few years ago to discuss some experiences he had testing out polarizing diets. Since then, Ryan has put together a cool training group called Tribal Training, where he and the group leverages a community based structure to help each other reach their goals over a variety of different endurance events, which include triathlon and trail races. Something that stood out to me about Ryan’s group was they build in key events during the year for members to target as a group. Once on board, members will form an online community around their training and lifestyles to better prepare and help each other. Once the event arrives, they build a group experience around the event itself. I think Ryan has a pretty unique model and wanted to hear more about what went into the creation of it, and see what I could learn as well as share some of my own insight as an outside observer. One thing I think about these days as our world becomes more and more digital is what ways can we as humans meet our needs for community and in person experiences. Ryan has worked hard to blend the two worlds with Tribal Training.
Check out more about Ryan on this episode and let me know what you think!
