2025 Week 14: 03.31.25 - 04.06.25
Weekly Totals: 9 hours 45 minutes of running, 82.26 miles, 5 total runs
Weekly Recap: This week was focused entirely on three long runs. The profile looks kind of goofy with 3/4 of the volume all in three sessions (strava graph below). The reasoning is to test to see how my more general endurance training structure is translating to something a bit more ultra specific. I didn’t do anything super long, but aimed to keep intensity in the base (zone 2) category for the most part, with a small workout mid run on Monday. My hope is this, with next weekend's 100km at Mad City, will give me some insight as to where I am at for Six Days in the Dome (100 mile / 12 Hour) in June. The biggest variable of consideration from this will be the timeline I use for the phase of training where goal 100 mile intensity longer sessions become the priority. Another variable that stuck out this week was the humidity. It was back in full force with every day in Austin being 90+ percent humidity. It isn’t my favorite weather conditions to train in, but it sure makes dryer days seem like I have another gear.
