Madison square garden with one of these events in the early 1900s sounds wild! Looking forward to the podcast 👌🏼

Thanks for dropping in Ken! Yeah, it is hard to believe how deep of a history and what disciplines have drawn the most attention over the years. Thanks for keeping the pod on your radar!

MSG story is wild! I'm running a 6 day event this summer in Colorado. This will be my first ultra and multi day event.

I'm running Transrockies near Leadville. Very excited but will definitely be a challenge with the elevation since I will be training mostly in Austin TX.

Wow Zach I had no idea you went this deep on the topic! We could have talked the whole hour on Sunday about this alone. Awesome content! I need to dig into Davy's books a little more. (BTW, the most awesome name for an ultra runner. I mean, The "original" Davy Crockett probably had his fair share of "Ultra" days in woods. Probably a lot of Barkley type trekking too).

Haha, yeah the name might generate a few extra listens all by itself :) I'm sure we could have spent the whole day chatting about it. I'm thinking about rearranging my podcast studio to showcase a bookshelf and just load it up with all of his work!
